ABOUT ME

Hello, I’m Laura! I’m based in New York City where I curate, art direct, and produce photography, graphics, and video content for in-app and web experiences as the Content Program Manager for Microsoft.

I enjoy exploring the intersection of technology and visual craft, elevating user experiences with inspiring content, and creating compelling visuals that support a cohesive and authentic brand identity. I’ve been proud to contribute to the launch of Create.com, the Designer app, Microsoft 365’s newest AI-integrated release for enterprise and consumer users, and a pioneer program to promote diverse and inclusive representation across the brand’s entire visual content library.

In a previous role as Premium Content Curation Manager at Offset by Shutterstock, I led curation and content strategy for a boutique stock agency specializing in high-impact visuals and creative storytelling by award-winning photographers, agencies, and illustrators.

As a former Associate Photo Editor for National Geographic Traveler and NG Travel Media, I photo-edited the magazine’s print, website, and iPad editions, surfacing authentic storytelling in line with National Geographic brand’s world-class visual standards.

My passion for storytelling began in the newsroom, where I spent seven years as a multimedia editor and visual journalist for the Delmarva Media Group, an affiliate of Gannett and the Associated Press. I oversaw photo assignments across seven publications in the Mid-Atlantic region, collaborated with other editorial departments for story development, modernized the flagship website by introducing long-form multimedia web experiences, championed the addition of video reporting and trained newsroom staff on video production and best practices, and provided guidance in the visual rebranding of the media group's flagship newspaper, The Daily Times.

I received a dual B.A. degree in photography and journalism from Salisbury University.
